Enrico Cocco – Leg Lock Masters Program

Lifelong martial artist, Enrico Cocco was taught leg locks early on and emphasized practicing them just as much as any other aspect of the submission game. He would use this skill to his advantage in the tournament scene, as other BJJ practitioners would not typically have a strong leg lock arsenal nor much knowledge on how to defend them. In 2003, at the young age of 15, Enrico won his first NAGA men’s 160 lb. expert division, submitting all of his opponents by way of leg lock submission.

Fast forward five years and Enrico would continue to be a force in the No Gi submission world, winning various local and national tournaments and achieving the rank of No Gi jiu jitsu black belt.

In 2009 he would win his biggest tournament to date, the ADCC North American trials. He submitted 3 out of 4 of his opponents and won the finals against UFC veteran Jacob Volkman by way of toe hold submission. This would secure him a spot in the world’s most prestigious submission grappling event, the ADCC World Championships.

In 2010, Cocco formed his own academy, Zen Jiu Jitsu, where he currently teaches and trains on a daily basis. He has made a name for himself as one of the best No Gi jiu jitsu practitioners on the planet, from winning the ADCC North American trials two more times to competing and winning in some of the biggest pro grappling circuits.

Throughout his years of competing, Enrico has made many friends in the jiu jitsu community and has found himself forming an alliance with Master Cyborg Abreu after competing side by side with him and other members of the fight sports team.

Enrico continues to live the jiu jitsu lifestyle, competing at the highest levels and passing the art down to his students. It is his hope to continue his journey to impact and help as many people as possible through jiu jitsu.
